The Most Important Person in My Life

Everyone believes that they have the best mother on earth—of course! And I am one of those. Our mother is really the one who can give us unconditional love but most of us don’t realize this. Communication is very important just like in any other relationship but there are some other factors that made my relationship to the most important woman in my life very unique—the woman I call mommy.

In my growing years, my mom is a typical disciplinarian but still showing her affection to me and my sister. She taught us how to give value for money but never deprive us to have the things other teenage girls have. She never pressured us to do things more than being a good individual.

When my parents got separated, I stayed with my mother. People might think that I am only in denial but I never really felt incomplete growing without a father. My mother spoiled us not with material things but with love which made our house still a home. She provided for us financially and I am proud to say that me and my sister both finished college.

We also had some disagreements but she later on learned how to meet me half way. She is now my best friend who never left me in all my life difficulties. We were never reserved showing our affection to each other. She knows how much I love her and I always try to remind her about it.

She has always been generous not only to me but to others as well which she always tells me that it’s only sharing a blessing. For almost a year now that I have not been employed, I never heard her complain or made me feel that I am a load. I knew having me as a daughter is a bit painful in the pocket just to provide for my medicines alone. She really provides for everything! This includes even my expense in going to the mall, hanging out with friends and all of my travels. Though I never abuse this privilege because how can I enjoy the money that I never worked for? I just have to say that we are just truly blessed that God gave her a job that pays her well for me to enjoy such.

I make sure that my dreams will benefit my mom as well. Not just to be proud of me but to take a pleasure from it as well. I am looking forward to be back to work soon though it means sacrificing to be far from her for sometime. Once she told me that it’s no longer essential for me to work abroad but still she never stopped me to do the things I wanted to do. (Just giving me options)

The most important person in my life is my mother and that will remain because who I am right now is because of her. I know the things I’ve written here doesn’t says everything yet to describe such a wonderful parent but that will make me spend 26 years to describe in words all her unconditional love for me and my sister.

Happy Mother’s Day! Mom, you’re the best!
