Boomerang (Inspired by the movie Little Black Book)
Defined as something that when you throw up in the air will comes back to you.
In the movie, there was an ex-couple who bought a boomerang for each of them to be a reminder that they can always go back to each other. Now it makes e wonder who can be my boomerang?
The idea was pretty cool but reality check, it’s no good for me. I mean, these are hopes for the past relationship that needs to get over with. I know it’s nice to think of someone to come back to at the end of the day but for the one who let go or threw the boomerang, she can be crippled in the present if she will remain hoping for an ended relationship. They say, not every boomerang was supposed to return to the thrower. The main non-returning type of boomerang is known as a killing stick.
“A clean break is easier—you can reset it and it heals and then you move on. But if you leave things messy then it just hurts, forever!”
I couldn’t think really of a boomerang can be in my past. Maybe because I never wanted to deal with something I can no longer have or something that would just give me false hopes. Who knows? I maybe could be a perfect example of a boomerang to someone after all.
Whaapak!
